All kinds of people went up… including a few people from Lake Tahoe/Truckee and Matt Lewis all the way from Los Angeles. And Danwise rocked his feature set. This week’s (3/21/12) Open Mic Comedy night at 3rd Street Bar (hosted by Wayne Walsh) was kind of crazy! It was Wayne’s birthday, so he did more time than usual… visiting comic Shawn McBride (from Portland) had a great set… and of course Jym Bettencourt was his usual, weird-funny self (or several selves) during his feature set. We had audience members come in all the way from Elko… Sean Connors went on a rant about how chemo makes you puke in weird places… and when it came time to vote, half the comics bailed. It was a bizarre leap day for 3rd Street Bar’s Open Mic Comedy Night hosted by Wayne Walsh (2/29/2012)!!! The show started with a rockin’ set from nationally-known comic Rob Cantrell (of The Marijuana-logues). We had Drake Nelson sportin’ a fly new lid and some new guy called MD Everett who looked a lot like Jym Bettencourt. When it came time to vote, Danwise took the most applause!
