Open Mic night at the Great Basin Brewery is the longest running open mic in the area! The Great Basin comedy competition is a four week competition. Each week, the audience picks two winners to move on to the next round and each wins a $25 gift certificate for great basin! On the fourth week all finalists compete to win 2 kegs of beer! Wayne Walsh took the top prize tonight (Feb. 9th) in the Great Basin Open Mic comedy competition. The Great Basin competition is a progressive open mic hosted by Matt Wiegand… it is one of the better and more consistent open mics in Northern Nevada.
