Great Basin Brewery Comedy Competition Week 3
Open Mic night at the Great Basin Brewery is the longest running open mic in the area! The Great Basin comedy competition is a four week competition. Each week, the audience picks two winners to move on to the next round and each wins a $25 gift certificate for great basin! On the fourth week all finalists compete to win 2 kegs of beer! 3rd Street Bar Open Mic Competition
Every Wednesday night, 3rd Street Bar hosts a comedy competition hosted by Wayne Walsh. The winner, as chosen by the audience, gets a bar tab and a 15 minute feature spot the following week. 3rd Street Winner, Feb. 8th
3rd Street Bar was rockin’ tonight for the weekly Open Mic Night hosted by Wayne Walsh (2/8/2012). We had a slam-packed line-up with Cary DeMars pouring behind the bar and Lennox the seeing-eye-dog abandoning his charge at every opportunity. In the competition, the winner came down to a three-way run-off between Brandon Lara, Drake Nelson, and Sean Connors. In the end, Drake squeaked out a win! Great Basin Winners, Feb. 2nd
It was a great night at Great Basin in Sparks, despite host Matt Wiegand being on the road!!! Wayne Walsh filled in with hosting duties. Everyone got a big treat when long-time Great Basin comedy staple, Erik, returned to his home turf for the night! We were honored to see him perform after his long absence.
